These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website at www.brightstargifts.co.uk. By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
You undertake that all details you provide for the purpose of ordering or purchasing goods are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the costs of the products you are purchasing.
Placing your order
Ordering from Bright Star Gifts couldn't be easier. Begin by browsing through our products in the Shop section, adding your desired products to the shopping basket. Once you have finished shopping, select Checkout from the Shopping Basket section, this will allow you to select your secure payment method, either Paypal or Google Checkout. Both options accept most credit and debit cards and are 100% secure for your protection. You will be asked for your billing details before being redirected to a secure site to make payment. Please note you do not need a Paypal account to make payment. Click for details.
Delivery
- Delivery is £3.95 per order no matter how much you buy! * Greetings cards and lighter products will be charged at £1.50. The delivery cost will be shown in your shopping basket as you add items.
- Orders are normally sent out the same day (if ordered before 3.00pm) or the next working day (excluding holidays and weekends). We use Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and orders require a signature on delivery, if no one is at home they will put a card through your door instructing you what to do next.
- Please be aware that Royal Mail will only hold Recorded items for one week before returning them to us. If this occurs, the customer is liable for the redelivery charge, and if the order is cancelled at this time, the original delivery charge will not be refunded.
- Personalised items will obviously take longer to dispatch, we are not responsible for delivery times on these products especially at busy times. Please order well in advance to avoid disappointment. We are not liable for personalised items which arrive late and will not refund in this situation. Personalised guest books are normally finished and dispatched in 1 working day, they are sent second class recorded and normally take 2 days to arrive, this is not guaranteed so if you need an item urgently please e-mail us for a delivery quote.
Refunds & Exchanges
In line with the Distance Selling Regulations you have a seven day cooling off period after receiving your order. Please note - this does not apply to personalised items which cannot be returned. The customer must contact Bright Star Gifts in the first instance to arrange the return of the items. This can be done via our Contact Us page. When returning an item these conditions must be met:
- Let us know BEFORE you send the item back

Items must be in an as new condition, unopened and unused with all tags still attached.

The item must be sent back using the same delivery method as it was dispatched. This is to avoid lost items and so that we can track your item.
A refund for the product price will be initiated once we have received the returned goods. The original delivery charge will not be refunded and the customer will be responsible for the delivery cost for returning the items. Orders are checked before being dispatched and are packaged well to avoid damage during transit, however, if your order is damaged or faulty when you receive it please notify us within 48 hours, after this time we will not accept responsibility.
